Three numbers, and then the argument.
Gallup, published May 2025 on 2023 and 2024 data: one in four US men aged 15 to 34 said they felt lonely a lot of the previous day, against 18% of women the same age. CDC and the National Center for Health Statistics, National Health Interview Survey 2024, Data Brief 564: 10.9% of men received counseling or therapy from a mental health professional in the past twelve months, against 16.9% of women. And a UK survey of a thousand men by the Priory Group found 40% had never spoken to anyone about their mental health, with the same proportion saying it would take thoughts of suicide or self-harm to make them seek professional help.
Put those together and you get a specific, non-mysterious market fact: there is a large population of men carrying unresolved decisions with nobody to run them past, who will not use the available channel, and who have a stated reason for not using it that no advertising campaign has moved in thirty years.
The most valuable property of this instrument is that using it requires no disclosure to another human being — and that property is also its most dangerous one.
